MODULE-1

Day 1

o    Introduction to straight wire appliance
        Diagnosis in orthodontics.

o    Importance of study model, photograph & x- rays.
o    Armamentarium.

o    Importance of skeletal, dentition and soft tissue relationship in orthodontics.
o    Understanding class I, class II & class III malocclusion,varitation and their orthodontic consideration.
o    Skeletal growth and it's implications.
Hands on:Ceph tracing,Model analysis.



Day 2
o    Treatment planning in detail covers :
o    Treatment planning for class I malocclusion, mid line, cross bite, crowding, open bite, deep bite and spacing.
       Treatment planning for class II malocclusion

o    Treatment options for class II in growing and adults patient.
        Treatment for class III malocclusion in growing and adult patients.

o    Expansion appliances
o    Extraction vs non extraction vs expansion vs proximal stripingo
o    Orthopedic and functional appliances used in class II malocclusion.
     Introduction to fixed functional appliances.
o   Deep bite management in growing and adult patients.
o    Methods of gaining space
o    Therapeutic extraction.
      
Hands on: Banding exercises on Typhodont

MODULE-2

Day 1
o     Introduction to bonding .
o    Generation of bonding systems.
o    Bracket placement according to MBT technique.
o    Bonding in wet field
o    Special bonding situation
o    Indirect bonding technique.
o    Bond strength and bonding failure.
o    Importance of adhesive remnant index (ari)
Hands on banding and bonding of Braces on models

Day 2
o    Live Demo: Demonstration of bonding and banding on patient.
o    On Patients by participants: Banding and bonding on new patient by participants

MODULE-3
Day 1
o    Wires in orthodontics.
o    Properties of different wires used in orthodontics and it's applications.
o    Treatment planning exercise for participants (Very important part of course which helps in dealing different types of cases with ease)
Day 2
o    Follow up of the patient started by participants.
o    Retention and relapse .
o    Wire bending exercise for TPA, tongue cribs
o    Preparation of anterior bite plane.

MODULE-4

Advanced Modules for Fellowship in Clinical Orthodontics
Single Day
o    Follow up of the patients started by participants
o    Different types of retraction mechanism.
o    Use of different auxillaries
On Patients by participants: Banding and bonding on new patient by participants

MODULE-5
Single Day
o    Follow up of the patients started by participants
o    Golden rules for treatment planning.
o    Finishing and settling orthodontics cases
MODULE-6
Single Day
o    Follow up of the patients started by participants.
o    Mini implants.
o    Use of power arm.
o    Advantages of ceramic brackets with metal slots.
o    Advantages of self ligating bracket system.
o    Orthodontic management of impacted canine .
o    Success mantra for orthodontic treatment.
